Evolation Yoga Scholarships for Change

Life’s most persistent and urgent question is,
’What are you doing for others?’
— Martin Luther King

Like the rest of the world, we’ve been watching the past few weeks unfold with heavy hearts. We’ve spent this time listening, learning and seeking out marginalized voices so we can do better.

We want to say that Evolation Yoga stands in solidarity in the work for racial equality. This is not a political issue; this is a human issue. We recognize that there is still so much work to be done and we are dedicated to being a part of that growth — both in the yoga room and the wider world.

Did you know…

1/15 Americans practice yoga, and only 15th of those yogis are POC?

These numbers call for more diversity, inclusion and representation. Here’s what we’re doing to promote equality.

Introducing: 2020 Scholarship for Change

We want to hear your stories, share your stories, and make our yoga teacher trainings more accessible. This is about conscious listening, learning, and action.

How have you experienced the world of yoga? What do you think should be done to make yoga a safe space for everybody, regardless of color, class, religion or background? On a more individual level, what kind of internal work are you doing at this time? How can that be applied to the external world?

Our goal is to serve underserved communities, however everyone is welcome to take part. We are offering full scholarships for our yoga certification programs, to bring more equality to the yoga room. Submit your video or written essay through the link below by July 10th, where you can also nominate someone you know.

Thank you for sharing your voice.
